Dr Adrian Tookman is a Palliative Medicine Specialist. He qualified in 1976 and was appointed, in 1985, as a Palliative Medicine Consultant to the Royal Free Hospital and Medical Director of the Marie Curie Hospice Hampstead. He was appointed as Medical Director to the Royal Free Hospital 2005 – 2009. He retired from the NHS in 2013 and continued in his clinical role as Medical Director of Marie Curie Hospice, Hampstead. He will be retiring from Clinical Practice in 2021. He has been Lead Field Editor for the Cochrane PaPaS review group since 2014. His research interests include: rehabilitation and survivorship in cancer, fatigue in patients with advanced disease, sexuality in palliative care and research of the imminently dying person.
